Company

Built by people who know both sides of the port.

TapakNusa is registered in Sleman, Yogyakarta and runs from two bases — Tangerang and Yogyakarta. Our banana leaves are sourced farm-direct from smallholder gardens across Indonesia, then sorted, vacuum-packed and documented for export at our Tangerang handling point.

— Founder,
TapakNusa

“Before building this, I ran import deals for years — so I know the buyer side of this table first-hand. I saw the same story again and again: good Indonesian product, honest farmers, and then a shipment that failed because somebody skipped a document or a moisture test.

So we built this company backwards. Documents first. Lab results before photos. Contracts that say what happens when things go wrong — because they sometimes do.

We're young. We won't pretend to be a 40-year-old house with warehouses on three continents. What we offer instead is smaller, sharper: direct farmer relationships we visit in person, one inspection you appoint yourself, and a founder whose phone number actually answers.”

How we source

We drive to the farms. Literally — our sourcing calendar follows harvests:

Now · Indonesia

Our one active line, banana leaves, comes from here. We visit farms in person (dominantly Batu/Klutuk, with a Kepok garden in the network), agree price and spec per lot, and vacuum-pack at our Tangerang handling point.

Under survey · Gayo & Lampung

Coffee (arabica cherry season Oct–May, robusta year-round) and pepper are in supplier verification — collector groups and estates are being visited and lots cupped before we commit any volume.

Pipeline · West Java producers

Private-label and processed-food producer kitchens will be visited and checked before any run begins — same rule as every line: nothing is offered until the chain is verified.

Our promises (and what we don't promise)

We DO promise

Written quotes within 1 working day (target) · third-party inspection rights · document packs at booking · honest "we can't do that yet".

We DON'T pretend

No fake testimonials, no invented certificates, no claims we cannot back with paperwork. Trust is built per shipment.

Roadmap

Halal certs planned per SKU once producers qualify · organic program planned with partner farms · EU steam-treatment lane under evaluation.
