Banana Leaves from Indonesia

Food-safe wrapping leaves for Asian restaurants, caterers and grocers, sorted to a written physical spec — no tears, ≥100 cm — vacuum-packed fresh. Varieties by season: Kepok when available, plus Batu/Klutuk and Tanduk — farm-direct from smallholder farms across Indonesia, vacuum-packed at our Tangerang handling point (farm origin documented per lot). Honest status: we are verifying our supply network through on-site farm visits right now, so we confirm availability case by case until the first survey round completes. We prepare shipments for Singapore and Malaysia food-service buyers today — other destinations on request.

VarietiesBy season & farm: Kepok (classic wrapping leaf — strong aroma, fold-resistant), Batu/Klutuk (firm, aromatic), Tanduk (large, sturdy). We state the variety per lot; grading is by physical spec, not name. Leaves from pesticide-treated fruit plantations are not used.

Questions buyers ask

Which variety will we get — Kepok, Batu or Tanduk?

Varieties are offered by season and farm: Kepok when available (the classic wrapping leaf — strong aroma, folds without cracking), plus Batu/Klutuk and Tanduk. We grade by physical spec (length, tears, cleanliness), not by name — tell us your use-case and we match the leaf, stating the variety on the lot record. We do not source from pesticide-treated fruit plantations.

What leaf lengths and grades can we ask for?

Standard length is ≥100 cm per leaf, no tears (target 120-150 cm); the full grading sheet is shared on request. For markets with extra-strict presentation (e.g. Japan) we sort harder and confirm the length spec per buyer before quoting.

Fresh or frozen; which should we order?

For short sea lanes (Singapore/Malaysia, typically 3-7 days) fresh vacuum-packed works today. For long lanes, frozen (-18°C) is the proven option; our 6-week fresh-vacuum trial will tell whether it also survives room temperature; we publish the result either way.

What documents ship with an order?

Every shipment leaves with a Certificate of Origin, invoice and packing list; a phytosanitary certificate is issued on request (Singapore's SFA rules for consumption produce don't require phyto). Destination-side licences are held by the importer (Singapore: SFA registration/licence).

MOQ and samples?

Start with a courier sample (up to ±30 kg, or about 100-200 leaves); product free of charge, courier at cost, sample fee credited to your first PO. LCL trial lots start at ~100 kg; we quote commercial quantities once the spec is agreed.
